One of the most haunting and unusual versions ever of this standard.

  • One of the greatest of all time that practically nobody has ever heard. I think I heard played one time on the radio. I bought it and wore it out.

  • Haven't heard this in nearly fifty years - forgot how fab it is!!!

  • Looked for this 45 for years; found out Strand was out of business. Then I walked into a record store on W. 25th in Cleveland and jokingly said, "Do you have Summertime by the Chris Columbo Quintet?" and the guy says, "Sure, right over here!" I nearly keeled over.

  • @TheRydersBand Yes, same Chris Colombo, with Johnny "Hammond" Smith doing the organ work......... THe LP this comes from is terrific!

  • Is this the Chris Columbo from Atlantic City?

  • It's my all-time favorite version of this standard. Yay, Hammond B-3! I bought it when it came out in 1963, and I still love it just as much. The flip side is "Mineralogy."

  • I loove this version and have not heard it in years....do u happen to have Minerology??? Thank you, thank you for posting this!!!!!!
