And now, a long overdue update on my drumming. This is either the seven month mark or a year depending on how you count. I had a long hiatus due to illness (and I am not fully recovered still...) and that messed up my progress. But I am starting to get back into it again and so this is a 'proper' update on where I have managed to get to. It's still loads of fun!

  • Need to find a piggy bank NOW!!!!

  • @Cr4nium13 Lol. Yes! Best be saving those pennies! ;-)

  • can you tell me more details on the clapper Hi Hat kit? im planning to do the same for my DTX-E, but cant find any documentation of what do i need to buy..

  • @danabe8888 Hey there. So I bought the hi-hat and stand as a bundle form Kraft Music in the US, and I am sure that there are similar deals in other locales (such as Malaysia). But basically you just need the Yamaha RHH135 hi hat and a standard acoustic drum hi hat stand. The RHH135 sits on the stand like a 'real' hi hat and plugs into the DTX-E module just like the standard hi hat pad and pedal. And everything just works. It was expensive but easy to set up.

  • Ok Do U practice Paradiddles ? its a gr8 way to improve out in drums ... m gonna buy the same kit soon ... right now i have Mapex Tornado ... ....

U might also have to work on Tempo .... and make urself free... it looks like something has hold u to play drums ... make it flawless ... i know Practice will lead u to be a gr8 drummer :)

    Njoy... Keep Drumming

  • @theroxtarishere Thank you for the kind words, they are greatly appreciated. And yes, you are absolutely right; I need to practice so much more and work on, basically, everything. A big problem is that I am certainly not free enough, always too tense. Watching you play, I see how relaxed you are and I need to be more like you (nice song by the way). So lots more practice for me then!

  • @fasionroadkill Wow. I didn't know that (just goes to show, I really should read those manuals sometimes). Hrm... Maybe I should invest in some Y-cables and another tom pad...

    Thank you for this information!

  • @Jayembee1 actually on this module, you can plug two into the tom inputs, so you can actually add up to four extra pads.

  • @dr0franknfurter Yes, it's been well over a year now that I have been playing, all self-taught, and whilst I have definitely improved since I started, but you are so right, I really do need to concentrate a lot more on my technique and timing. More than anything I need to get back to playing with a metronome every day and working on my fundamentals (I recently started a new job and it has taken up all my time and energy so my practice has really suffered).
