A short film on the turbulent and adverse history of Lebanon. The images herein are in chronological order, running from 1920 to 2008. Along side these, some key events which have despondently transformed the once thriving and captivating country, into an unstable war ridden veteran.

This is a good video thanks, sadly I don't know that much about my own country, as I've lived abroad all my life, and my father who is Lebanese died, I've been living on my own with Norwegian family, but I'm wanting to learn more about Lebanon, I've been bothered by the religious divide in Lebanon I've heard allot about it, personally I'm an atheist, was there a serious civil war in leb? And is there any animosity between Lebanese people themselves? I wish Lebanese would put religion behind.

@MonaalizMJiheartU Thanks for your comment, there's a lot of history in Lebanon it's an incredible country, you should pay a visit. I've just come back from a 2 week holiday there, Beirut is amazing half the city is building work with some amazing things being built there, some of it is already finished and it has come a long way in the last 5 years. As for the Lebanese people, they live side by side, it's a small country with a lot of people so they put their past behind and move on :)

@charbelion The palestinian jews are the only ones who deserves to stay in palestine becouse they are Arabic jews but should be ruled under a palestinian state a state that they where suposed to declair after the british ampire left palestine that at that time was a part of belad el sham (Jordan,Palestine,lebanon and syria).but becouse of the ww2 and the massacre of jews in europe and russia a part of european zionists that had strong influence in the british govermant it went wrong.

do you believe Palestinians have a right to defend themselves? do you believe they have a right to their land and country?

do you believe Lebanese people have a right to defend themselves? do you believe Israel has only ever acted in self defense?

I believe everyone has a right to defend themselves, but no one has the right to attack and destroy under the pretense of defense.

Once again, the Religion of Peace, Islam, needed a base to fight and kill all the Jews, and in the process, destroyed a beautiful country, Lebanon...... Paris of the Middle east..... but, nothing good ever comes out of these people...... NO, the phalangist militia didn't supposedly kill palestinians....

They slaugthered between 3000-3500 innocent people, in a couple of days!!

People, mainly children, women and elderly, where butchered with knives and axes

Why didn't put some of that piece of lebanese history?
