Wooo! I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to pull this off. I made this a few days ago, so this is sort of a Christmas present to myself :-D I originally thought it wasn't possible to run through this level at top speed breaking Mario's momentum only a couple times. However, I gave it a shot. After every few dozen practice runs, I would discover a new technique I could use, and that kept happening until I felt I had a formula that worked really well :-D I reached the 269 mark on the in-game clock multiple times but didn't break 270, and I knew I could do it 8-| After many hours attempting to reach that time and almost giving up, I finally pulled it off. This might be the SMW speed run of mine that I'm most proud of :-D

As far as I can tell, this it the best non-tool-assisted speed run of this level on YouTube using little Mario. I ended with a completed time of 270 seconds left on the in-game clock. The run was approximately 20.81 seconds in real time. The best previous Non-TAS time that I've seen on YouTube is 22.69, and the best TAS time I've seen is 20.48 ( I'm so close O_o ), both using little Mario.

However, I know that my time (and the above TAS time) can be improved. I used some techniques that I think work better than what the TASer used, and vice versa. The only reason I ran through the level rather than sliding and conserving momentum by constantly jumping is because that's sooo hard for me to pull off while not TASing 8-| The very end of this level, where I do just that, is where I had the most trouble in the end for that reason X-P

*(copied from my last speed run video)*: Like I mentioned, this speed run is not tool-assisted, just like my other SMW speed run videos. Normally I would have included the CamStudio window in the viewing area to prove that the speed run was happening in real time, but I had gotten a few comments in the past questioning its presence and commenting on how it was kind of distracting/unappealing. Thus, I decided to not include it this time. I was assuming you all would believe me in this being non-tool-assisted since my other videos are that way. Plus, if I was really going to lie that any of my videos were non-TAS'd when they really weren't, I would be uploading speed run videos left and right trying to impress people then X-D

Enjoy guys! :-DD
