  • First recorded by the great Brendan McGlinchey from Armagh as the Galway reel about 1971 or 2 on his Music of a champion LP

  • Nice wee tune but it don't sound like the Galway Reel I know, which I learned from a Clare Mckenna whistle tutorial book.

  • That tune is indeed a great Galway tune and called The Galway Reel. Recorded by Vincent Griffin and Galways own Kevin Roohan. Well played in East Galway circles.

  • Great!

  • ***** !!

  • I've heard this called "Up Against The Buchalawns" but I've also been told that's not right.
