It´s not a game, where you just run like an idiot and shoot arround you and hope you will survive. ARMA 2 is a game, were tactics are a MUST. It´s not like battlefield or something. You really have to use your skills. But i dont understand why it´s a waste of money, the graphics are insane, the game is fking awesome, and the amount of vehicles and weapons, is HUGE. You should play the demo of ARMA 1 to get a first impression of how the game works. I think this game is freakin AWESOME!

@steevn606 Any modern card can run this game. If you want it to run faster your most likely going to need a quad which likely means building a new rig. But don't worry about this game it wasn't optimized at all so really no one gets decent frames.

A CPU is the processor (Central Processing Unit). It performs most of the basic maths that all programs need.
Don't confuse CPU with GPU, GPU is Graphics Processing Unit.
The Quad and Dual core refers to the number of things the CPU can do at once. Dual can do to, Quad can do four. The new Intel i7 have a thing called hyper threading which improves performance (I'm told it's similair to having 8 cores).

I learned to make my kit as quiet as possible. I guess these characters missed that exercise! =OP

Nein leider nicht, wenn ich wirklich ALLES auf maximal stelle gehen die FPS runter so 10-15 sind es dann noch. Das meiste frisst dann die Füllrate. :(

Die Füllrate regelt die sogenannten Treppeneffekte... ist anscheinend ein Antialiasing Ersatz. D.h. Wenn du füllrate auf 100% setzt wirkt es so, als hättest du Antialiasing 1x an!
