Well honestly i guess the 48 fps isn't for everyone. Yes it did make a difference in the look but everyone reacts different to it. I thought it made the CGI look better as well as the 3D. But like I said 48 is just double the standard rate and that's why they chose it which is why i am curious to see what 60 fps would look like. Maybe there is a magic frame rate that will just click with everyone and every type of vfx shot. But I am glad that the person who reinvented 3D is considering hfr.

i was the opposite tbh as I felt the cgi was very poorly done. i know hobbit had a lot of cgi in it instead of practical effects, like make up, whilst the lord of the rings was more make up heavy (something which turned me off the hobbit tbh) i meant more the fact nearly every screen in avator (if not all) was done with blue screen whilst the hobbit only had a few screens such as the goblin city. for me the cgi ruined the feel of the film compared with the lotr's practical effects
