carly- Your viewpoint is not shared by well over half of the voting population ( 68 % ) With unemployment hovering at a real figure of 20-23% there is absolutely no need for any of the 12-20,000,000 ILLEGAL ALIENS that are presently here to be here. Your outlook on wage increase is something that Americans should have taken notice of decades ago ! We might take a lesson from the French on our lifestyle in general. Higher wages , retirement at 55 , 4 week annual vacations & healthcare for all !

The economy is doomed to experience a labor shortage because of the retirement of the Baby Boom generation. Increased immigration and rapid wage growth would increase the SSA fund's revenues.
