Album: Christmas (2004)

Encyclopaedia Metallum:
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=53338

Lyrics:
(first part from Hemingway's poem?)

For the next war we shall bury the dead in cellophane.
The Host shall come packaged in every K-ration.
The Host shall come packaged in every K-ration.
Every man shall be provided with a small, but perfect, Archbishop Spellman; which shall be self-inflatable,
curtosy of Air Reduction.

(open close previous open close)
You don't need to repeat this
There is not any ceremony anymore
Everyone is gone and you say this out loud to yourself
You are alone at the time, and the time now is always
Always was a word you used in promises
It is valueless.

All officers, warrant officers, and our listed men, will be provided with a copy with their own true love, which they will never again, and all these copies will be returnable through the proper channel.

  • One of my favourite drone tracks of all time.

Imagine if aliens caught this track in a radio transmission millions of lightyears away, millions of years in our future. We'd be long gone and this would suitably represent the human race...

Turners new project Jodis has some really good stuff too, check it out.

  • this is my fav by Old Man Gloom, like a broadcast to a survivor of some apocalyptic war. Im right there with it.

  • This track really reminds me of Hawkwind......

  • although I love the concept of this album and this particular space, I cut out all the odd tracks on my playlist so I can just have the music....2-4-6-8-10-12
