The British Royal Marine Commando's are the most proffessional and elite marines on the planet and they undertake the hardest basic military training known to man. This training is 32 weeks long compared to the United States Marine Corps 13 weeks of training and is completed at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) to give you an idea about the training the Endurance course is a six mile (9.65 km) course across rough moorland and woodland terrain at Woodbury Common near Lympstone, which includes tunnels, pipes, wading pools, and an underwater culvert. The course ends with a four mile (6 km) run back to CTCRM. Followed by a marksmanship test, where the recruit must hit 6 out of 10 shots at a 25m target simulating 200 m. To be completed in 73 minutes (71 minutes for Royal Marine officers). Originally 72 minutes, these times were recently increased by one minute as the route of the course was altered this course has to be completed by recruits in full fighting order of 32 lb (14.5 kg) of Personal Load Carrying Equipment e.g. webbing and l85a2 . In this video the endurance course is being taken on by me and my college mates looking to join the royal marines along with 2 lads from fiji 1 lad from doncaster and one lad from chard this is part of a course which is designed to show potential recruits what the training is like and what to expect when joining the corps we did not have to carry any equipment as that is only done by recruits in stages of training. This was recorded on the 1st of June 2010 and was edited and uploaded by me "Shorty" or to you guys "PepperboyPARA".

If you have any questions about the endurance course or the royal marines in general feel free to ask me in either a comment or private message. :)
