Comment: concerning to superprocoach Markus, Matiras backhand is almost perfect for a 6 year old girl. But the forehand must improve: too much pushing, the movement must be much more smooth.Too much wrist movement. The strike back movement must be wider and more relaxed. Generally the movements are too hasty. Too much work with the shoulders, instead of the arm. Movements are not controlled, all too wild.....well, we will try to improve this points, but the most important thing is that Matira has fun all the time exercising, with the final target to reach perfection. Looking for the perfect stroke.................
Matira currently plays tennis twice a week, 1 hour in a group of 5, and 1 hour with her bigger sister Luana. She has currently no private lessons on her training schedule.
But, what can be said is, that Matira made big progress since Video part 1 from November 11, 2011. Her movement on the court is smoother, the footwork is better and her anticipation is pretty good, considering she is only 6 year old. She learns and executes very quickly. :-)

Matira is swiss, but has also italian, and thai ancestry.

Matira also plays regularly ping pong and sometimes sqash and badminton (good for hand-eye coordination wich is the foundation for striking the tennis ball). Well Badmington and squash isn't really the best sport to improve tennis in all ways, as the game is played more out of the wrist. But as my childs like it very much, let them play. She also likes track and field, and swimming...and all kind of sports activities. Not to forget Hip-Hop, wich she performs once a week.......with a big smile on her lips!

Quotations:
"There is a very fine line between undertraining and overtraining, and the spot right between those two extremes is peak perform" - Chris Evert

""Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90-percent chance or a 50-percent chance or a 1-percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight.""
Lance Armstrong
