  • hey with loosing calcium in the bones from eating meat and stuff wat if you drink enough milk to immediatly replace the calcium in the bones??

  • I'll be replacing this video soon because of a change in research surounding this particular area. Although an increased protien intake is related to an increase loss of bone calcium in the urine, there is no correlation between increased protien intake and low bone density.

  • Hmm.. Maybe you could give me some conditioning advice then. I tend to do my conditioning by hitting my heavy bag, which I believe is filled with sand though I'm not sure, for several minutes at a decent rate of force. After that, I flex and un-flex my hands repeatedly to stretch everything back out and make sure it all moves properly.

    P.S. Only reason I'm saying this all now is because it's 1:33 AM here and I need to go to bed before my mom goes crazy and yells at me.

  • It says on your profile that your fourteen. Heavy bag work is fine but I wouldn't do any heavier conditioning until you get to about eighteen.

    I know its a pain, but its just not worth the risk. Like I say though, heavy bag work is just fine though.

  • Thank you for taking the time to record this video, and I appreciate learning new perspectives. I don't condition my hands, but I have an argument against the hot and cold bath theory. When cytokines are released at the site of injury (hands), they don't remain in the hands but are dispersed everywhere with one's circulation. Wouldn't speeding up one's metabolism (for example, by entire heat such as a sauna) be more effective? I can argue theory but I can't argue with your coconut breaking!

  • wooden dummies are normally found in wing chun more then shaolin kung fu and Makiwaras can very greatly in the amount of give they have from much less then a wooden dummy to much more

  • this information is incorrect, makiwaras have greater give than that of a wooden dummy in shaolin

  • I did my conditioning no side effects at all bones just grew, I posted it, I guess im mix between shaolin and japanese and my own. I did use a healing liquid too..

  • but standing in front of the air contioning or fan afterwards sure is great!

  • i guess im extreme when conditioning compared to the others here,but personally i take a very hot shower after i work out,actully its part of the workout as i stand in hot as i can stand for 10 mins and let my bodies sweat itself out,i got it from muay thai fighters,also if u massage before hand ,tummy,etc.. it breaks up fat deposits and u sweat them out.

    still not sure about cold water as it could be too shocking to the body after such intense heat.
