I had flawless service for 2.5 years until they hooked up service to my elderly neighbor. Now my phone and cable modems both time out and reboot periodically. sometimes I go 2 weeks with no problem and then boom happens again. Tech support wants to tell me the phone modem and cable modem are not syncing....lol WTF? I eliminate the phone modem and it still does it I eliminate the cable modem and it still does it. HMMMMMMM? Guess I find another service provider.
When we first got cable, we got it through a company called Intermedia. We paid around $30 a month and got great service. Then charter came in and bought them out. The first thing they did was to fire a bunch of people, automate those positions, and jack up the prices. And don't even get me started on the lies they tell in their advertising.
Charter is the worst business in the world. The only reason they are still in business is because they have a monopoly on the cable industry in a lot of places, like where I live for example. Here, if you want cable, you have to get it through charter. There is no one else. They told us that the bundle deal was $100 a month. Now we're paying around $170. It takes forever to get anyone out if you have a problem and you can't call and get a hold of a real live human being either.
Charter is the sh***iest company I have ever dealt with ever! I could write a book on the myriad of problems I've had in just the three weeks I've been a customer. I hope Time Warner buys them out of their bankrupcy, and fires every employee.

@Proskater648 Me too. they want to blame my equipment. Yet 2.5 years no problem. they hook up the next door neighbor and bam same problem you have.

@tader420 sunspots should ONLY effect the tv, yes, charter does rent Geo-Stationary sats nationally through EchoStar for their tv feeds
