A video taken onboard Dennis Trident ALX400, Reg: MKO2 EGY operated by Stagecoach in Gloucester, on service 98. This video is taken from Cheltenham Promenade to Hatherley Lane. This first part is filmed from the right hand side of the bus.
This actual bus used to be operated by the Cheltenham fleet and was in the University of Gloucestershire livery , until delivery of the new scania's came into service on the 94 , to which the 4 University buses and the ex-94 , 04 plate trident fleet (6 of which have remained in Cheltenham) were cascaded to Gloucester.

This video starts in the picturesque Cheltenham Promenade, starting up (which I just caught) and sits idle for 2 mins before departure towards Gloucester. This vehicle revs quite high as it has a reconditioned gearbox , which means it doesn't half shift and has quite a lot of power!
We head up the promenade , passing the regency buildings and the park on the left (to which I am the camera) before stopping at the bus stop at the Rotunda, Montpellier.
We then carry on round the montpellier roundabout( when a National Express Scania on service 444 from Cheltenham to London comes into view on the right) and head down Gloucester Road before the petrol station comes into view. We then proceed through the lights turning left into Hatherley Lane , where again you can hear how high the engine revs and how quickly the bus moves! We come down a gentle slope before crossing the mini roundabout and carrying on up the lane.We then pass another mini roundabout with Shelburne Road to your right and Alma Road on the left on the second roundabout , and we then pass Deans Close School on the right hand side , and all the houses. If you look closely enough over the hedges towards the end of the video , you should see the railway behind , which is the mainline from Birmingham to Gloucester and Bristol.
I then again look to the front of the vehicle stopping at the stop outside Hatherley Post Office , before we turn right onto Hatherley Road , and stopping at the bus stop on the other side if the railway bridge.
