Metroid Prime 2 Echoes: Part 53 (Vs. Grapple Guardian)

Welcome to part 53 of my Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Walkthrough. I will be starting a lot of my videos from the save point, or before the next major event.

--Now we're up against the Grapple Guardian! This monstrosity can do a lot of damage if you let your guard down...which is what I did xD. Took me a tad bit to recall how exactly I should approach him.

You have to stun him by attacking his eye enough to use the grapple beam. When it does, you go towards one of the light rods and get it to grapple it. Doing so will stun the guardian giving you the opportunity to do some damage to its weak backside.

What I hated was how much Grapple Guardian moves his head. It was like my eye focus was going all over the screen and making me so dizzy lol.

Once I've dealt enough damage, Grapple Guardian's backside will be destroyed leaving it vulnerable to attacks. Except this time, the guardian is a lot faster and most devastating in damage.

I let my guard down, knowing that I'd win the battle I let Guardian do a hell of a lot damage lol. What's weird too is that the light beam doesn't stun him effectively so I stuck with super missiles and power beam.

Once the guardian is down, we'll recover the grapple beam!

I'll use the grapple points to return to underwater temple and then onwards to crypt. I ditched the battle with the dark pirate commandos and ran for the portal, haha xD

Is it just me or is this boss just too hard to hit. I think it has one magic pixel where you can hit it. 90% of my shots just bounce off T_T

Good job on finishing him off in 10 minutes. It took me about 45, i'm not kidding.

@GoLwigi Well 45 minutes is better than constantly losing and restarting right? lol. Omg I totally agree with the magic pixel though. It's like the Alpha blogg. Unless you hit it JUST right it won't count lol

The Grapple Guardian needs one thing: wings. Then he could be a one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater. :D

This boss fight is a unique twist on a boss fight in Super Metroid. Its in Maridia, when you get to the Giant Fish Boss, you can defeat The Giant Boss in 1 of 2 ways. 1st you can fire missiles into the soft underbelly or you can destroy the energy turrets, when The Giant Fish Boss grabs you, keep firing your grapple beam. If you time it right, your grapple beam latch on the destroyed turrets & electrocute The Giant Fish Boss to death.

I fackin hate this guy. He's way too hard to hit, he moves around a lot, and does massive damage. Easily my most hated boss.
