Dylan reaction after touching shell fish or nuts

This is my son Dylan when he was having a allergic reaction to Nuts or Shell fish we are not sure which one it was.

He was non responsive when we got him to the ER "30min away mind you". The nurse came in right away and gave him a big shot in his bottom and about 5 or 10 min he started coming out of it.

The next day he did not have a mark on him. It was like it never happened.

Also I learned that the Bronchial Tubes "The; Large, delicate tubes that carry air into the tiny branches and smaller cells of the lungs after this air has passed through the mouth, nasal passages, and windpipe (trachea)" can swell up before the throat can.I was stupid to that fact.

I was advised by the pharmacist that this could happen and I needed to use the Epi-pen right away. But the pen is to only bide you time to get to the ER. It is nothing to mess with!

I had never been so frightened in my whole life and I mean never! The seizures were nothing compared to this! I will forever remember how and when to use his pen. Oh and Not to forget that Ryan is allergic as well. But not as bad.

EACH AND EVERY NUT TREE NUTS INCLUDED
ALL FISH
AND SHELL FISH

He has suffered a lot in his short 6 years of life. Seizures started the day before his first birthday. Skin problems at 9 months as well as the food allergies. At 5 he was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD.

See My 17 year old son has been OCD from birth. So Dylan did have a lot of the same symptoms as my son David.

Dylan plays by his own rules but he has to be redirected to do what is right and tell him what is wrong. People may misconstrue this as being a bad child but he is far from that he just needs to be redirected from time to time as well as Ryan.




Some may call it to much Drama or My Bad Baggage. But my boys are mischievous and get into everything but they have big imaginations and before the do things the boys do think about it and find a reason why they have to do all the crazy things they do.

My life is always full of adventures and every day I wait to see what is next and I am so glad I have those adventures to always look back on. My 3 boys and my one girl is what I live for. I wouldn't trade them for the world!

Life is always good when I have all my children!

Do you keep a food diary for him?

@platinum243125 I did but I know what it is now after he got tested. He has allergies to Fish, shellfish,peanuts, and all tree nuts.

Do allergies this bad generally last a lifetime or do they "grow" out of them? I have never had an allergies ( occasionally a sinus infection).

@david640 You can grow out of them but my son has gotten worse every time he is tested. The last time he was tested his back had a really bad reaction to the sticks. His back swelled up and the doctor rubbed his back down with BYL cream and that didn't work so they had to give him oral BYL. We had to wait an extra 30mins in the office to make sure he was ok.
