Very informative, but you have infected me- now I want one of these things. I ride and love it, but I also love old cars and their mechanical accessibility. Drat, now I must find one of these to tinker with and love

I always put a bit of talcum powder inside of the tire to prevent rubbing of the tire/tube.

Pulling the two wheel halves away from the tire is MUCH harder than this video illustrates. It's not impossible, but requires a ton of hand work and time with even the most aggressive of approaches! Still, a very good video.
The talcum powder is a good idea. Also, when changing a tube, inspect the inside of the tire to make sure there isn't a foreign object or rough spot that caused the tube to puncture or wear through.

The older the tire the harder it is to separate them. We used a new tire during the video, which made it look a lot easier.
