This love poem by James Walter Orr aka Easy aka ezseeker is written in rhyme and rhythm. It is the story of a man whose beautiful and talented girl friend leaves to try her luck in Hollywood, at L.A. He knows that the cost may be very great, for the sexual predators in show business are legion. He wonders how long it will be until her wonderful and sexual smile will be turned upon another, as he looks at his empty mailbox.
WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
You said you had to give your dream a chance,
And left to try your wings out in L.A.,
To show your voice, your looks and graceful dance.
Oh! How I hope those dreams don't make you pay
To hear the often fabled piper play.
How can you hide that torrid, sultry glance,
Before your looks are turned another way?
I'd hoped to get your letter from the coast.
I stand in silence, then I give a sigh.
My spirits drop, my hope subsides, but most,
I wonder how words spoken, often try
To touch one, but then lie alone to die,
Or echo through life's hallway, like a ghost,
And though they scorch and burn, yet pass one by.
Dear JadeSlade,
Only in as much as I personally experience each poem that I write, in the course of the writing. Thanks a lot for visiting my channel, and I hope you return.
