@MoQuake I believe they still have the instinct to burrow and create shelter for themselves. They'd forage throughout the winter and no doubt the campus' students would help them. Although i keep my rabbit indoors, he still sheds /generously/ in the summer and sheds his old coat for a thicker one in the winter -- so they're not completely detached from nature.

@turbotoyboy the people fighting the UVIC to stop the rabbit cull have raised enough money to rehome and neuter all of the rabbits, the UVIC just has to sign the permits to allow them to start but they won't sign them! they are intent on killing paying to kill them rather than letting the bunny rescuers rehome them for free. it's pure sadism and it makes no sense.
