Today's task was the most ambitious to date. Visit http://evsprite.com for full project details. Today Todd, Dan, and I decided to flip the Sprite upside down in order to make it easier to modify the rear suspension and add some reinforcements to the unibody frame. It was a fun weekend!

  • I have to be honest, I'm worried for you. Your 6 step plan is perfect:

    1. Find a car

    2. Pull the gas engine

    3. Install an electric motor

    4. Load the car with batteries

    5. Plug it into the wall to charge

    6. (Unplug, then) Drive!

    Its just that simple (?)

I'm afraid you might be off track already. Is this a conversion or a total restoration and a conversion? Make that decision soon or the bills will be enormous and the project might be abandoned. I want you to succeed!! Good Luck!

  • This definitely turned into a restoration before a conversion. But since I'm doing so many mods, I'm not worried about it being an "original" restoration project. The cost won't be too much higher than originally projected, but the timeline seems to be lengthening. Thanks for the support - it will definitely work out in the end!
