Everybody says Driv3r is better than PL but I don't see it. Problem with 3 is that it relies too heavily on the broken on-foot mechanics where in PL, almost every mission is based around the driving.

You guys realise Driver was doing 3D sandbox long before GTA, right? GTA did come before Driver (1999), but the first two GTAs were top-down view. Driver introduced the 3D car sim genre. Thing is, originally Driver had its own vibe. It was primarily about the experience of driving a vehicle, not mowing people down. After GTA3 came out, Driver felt the need to be a GTA clone and have guns and shootouts. Hence people mistakenly think its a ripoff. At their core, GTA and Driver are very different
