Mustafa Elsherkisi shouted racial abuse at Mohammed Idris Mirza before stabbing him to death. The incident happened outside flats in the Stenhouse area following a row about dog fouling. Elsherkisi faces a life sentence and possible deportation to his homeland of Libya. In other news, a family have had to travel to America for specialist help....but now after a major fund raising effort, the couple have donated a six figure sum to the University of Edinburgh to fund research here. Their five year old son Kenz suffers from Fragile X Syndrome - the most common known cause of inherited learning difficulties and autism, affecting around fifteen thousand people in the UK.
