Zarbang performing 'Circle in Seven' in Cologne, Nov 2004.
Beginning in the seven beat 'Geryan', played in Kurdistan, Khorasan, and western Afghanistan, the piece then moves into the sounds of Iran's south as exemplified in Bushehr. It also features Reza Samani playing the ney anaban (the bagpipe of Iran's southern coast).
This video will be part of the upcoming DVD due May 2008. The song is also featured on Persian and Middle Eastern Percussion on ARC Music (2005).
