John's Triumph Metisse Scrambler

Having purchased a large box of parts some years ago, John has finally built up his 1963 Triumph Metisse. Here is a short movie taken during it's first real shake-down test.
The engine is a rare alloy barrel version of the Triumph 500cc twin and dates back to 1953.
John tells me that this is similar to the machine used in the Great Escape starring Steve McQueen.

i agree, he's a lucky guy owning this. hope he uses it for what it was intended, and not let it gather cobwebs in his shed. very nice piece of kit. thanks for sharing, it sounds very healthy.
