@MatthewESims Yes, however the ring is on the wrong hand. Wedding rings are always on the left hand, but hers is on the right. You wear the ring on the right hand if 1) you're divorced 2) it's just an accesory. Meaning: perhaps they were married or engaged, but they weren't during the movie.

It's eventually revealed in the game that he is indeed the REAL Cloud and is NOT a clone of anyone, and that the reason people thought so in the first place was because Hojo performed Jenova cell experiments on Sephiroth, Cloud and all those black-caped figures roaming around - giving them all similar characteristics. Cloud is not a clone. The word "clone" was pretty much a mistranslation anyway - a better word would be "host".

In Advent Children, shes got a ring. They even show it when shes yelling at him in the scene before he goes to the Forgotten City.
Maybe they didn't get together, but I think the fact that they even focused on it (if only for a second) kinda shows they are more than close friends.

Well, he did try and join SOLDIER to impress Tifa. I kinda understand since I joined the Army with similar intentions for a girl.
In the end, Clouds feelings were returned. I think he and Tifa got together. I also read that the game designers removed an intimate scene with the two. I like Aerith, but Zack saw her first XD
