This reminds me of the difference between a person with a positional title of... "A Manager" and a real leader who is empowered by the people who look to them for their knowledge, skills and character.

Having a title doesn't change the fact the a person either has influence or they don't.

All that a title does is buy a person a little time to prove themselves as a leader or prove that they're in over their head.
