Maybe I'm a bit off, but Danny Elfman did the theme song for The Simpsons, and he did the soundtrack for The Nightmare Before Xmas, which actually came out the same year as this episode *1993* and I can't help but hear sort of a resemblance to Sally's song. Maybe it's just me though.
