  • Could this have been the seed that grew into "A Mighty Wind"?

  • Yes. An awesomely funny and memorable sketch. I still think of it spontaneously and sing, to myself chuckling: "This old world/it's got its problems/it's up to us/to try and solve 'em."

  • ABC cut this so completely, I forgot half these songs had lyrics.

  • This reminds me of when I went to see Pete Seeger live at James Madison University when he was there with the Society of Friends in 1996 or 1997 expecting some great folk music in the vein of Woody Guthrie, but instead got something much like this.

This also reminds me of all those painful Peter, Paul and Mary reunion concerts on PBS every year. Not exactly what I would call edgy.

  • The Rambler's KICK ASS!!!!

  • How much for the CD? LOL

CD? what the heck is a CD? This is 1984 ya dang fool

  • @naizret: Did you add more verses to the songs in question?

  • Still brilliantly funny. My wife and I have been singing 'Cliff the Magic Squirrel' and 'Bottle of Wine' regularly since 1984. Many thanks for finding and posting this!
