NORM was the heart and soul of the bulls MAN could he take a charge.if they had the right fit at CENTER they could have gone all the way.rest in peace.I SAW THEM PLAY AT COBO IN DETROIT MANY TIMES.
-
saw norm play many times.solid player.never really had a bad game.fierce but fair and a pleasure to watch.good game norm!
-
I never saw the man play, but his passion for the Bulls and basketball always, ALWAYS showed. He quickly became one of my favorites and will be missed. Old school baby.

Absolutely beautiful tribute, I agree, his jersey should have been retired long before now, one of my favorite players of all-time. He was a true warrior on the court, and wore that Bulls uniform with overwhelming pride, he truly played with the love of the game and the passion of life itself...God bless you, Norm Van Lier.
Thank you for your influence on me as a kid.

The Bulls should retire his jersey! Stupid Reinsdorf!!!
-
That was good, used better pics than the Bulls did in their tribute. Reinsdorf can kiss my ass for now inviting Norm to Redd's bust ceremony.

I enjoyed his honesty and passion towards the Bulls!
thanks for the tribute, I'll miss him too! the post-game shows just aren't the same without him.

I know, it's kind of like in "the three stooges", when Curly was dying, he wanted Moe and Larry to keep making the shows. and... they moved on. but it's just weird not seeing Norm anymore! it's only Kendall Gill and Mark Shanowski. =(
