the costs for training is crazy and for doin the damm test its so stupid!! no wonder we are losing pilots cause some arent earing much like 20,000 a year is shit! they need to make training more affordable and salaries need to be higher!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I hope I could get a job at Quatas, but as an entry level pilot, i doubt i will be there any time soon

not THAT simple. i dont know what the problem is really
the salary of a pilot is already fairly competitive, the office environment is great, the job is one of the most respected there are.
you definitely have to be smart, but maybe theres a misconception as to HOW smart.
a small look from the outside and al people see is DME VOR VHF KIAS and 5k buttons that you have to memorise the function of each( again, from the outside view) + those daring enough to push thru that, u get stewyshaws problem

THIS IS FULL OF CRAP. i KNOW 3 CHAPS INCLUDED ME, WITH 320 RATING, AND THOUSAND HOURS, WE DONT FIND JOB.

As a current student pilot, I'm definately seeing the difficulties with getting my license, one is the cost, I went for a lesson and it cost apporximately $140, the next month I went for another lesson and the cost skyrocketed to $185, I'm blaming the fuel shortage.
With all these problems, upcoming pilots won't be able to afford to achieve their dream of flying the jumbo.
It really sucks.
