The Sierra Club High School Hikers Program is an activity section of the Siearra Club Hawaii Chapter. Originally formed by Mr. Lorin Gill in 1971 the High School Hikers program exists to give high school age students both public and private the opportunity to experience first hand Hawai'is unique and fragile environment.. We do this by providing trained and certified Sierra Club hike leaders who work along side school advisors to plan hikes, camps, educational and ethnobotanical programs. We exist to give students the opportuntiy to decide how best to protect or malama our islands for our future and the future of their children. See our web site at www.highschoolhikers.org for more information. Join us; Take a hike!
