I appreciate your dedication to your constituents as well as your devotion to the often silenced american democrat. You bring a breath of fresh air the democratic party and I wish you great success.

I wonder what the increments are that Weiner thinks we need to move toward single payer in. Is it gradually lowering the eligibility age? Is it starting with a strong public option? Something else?
I worked on health care for Paul Wellstone, and I lived in Canada and used their single payer system--after which my frustration at our complicated, profit-driven, rationed "system" only grew. I don't think it's quite the ideal, but it's FAR better than the status quo.

I don't think having private insurance and having private insurance that you want to keep are the same thing.
