The reason this song means so much to me has to do with the first time I heard it. My girlfriend and I had a very heart-breaking break up. It was a very terrible time for both of us. But at that time she called a relationship/marriage counselor from the phone book and made an appointment. When we got there we were both silent in the waiting room, and this song was playing. We both still loved each other very much, and despite the pain the song represented one important thing to me: HOPE.

@tedmccarron True. Even though in more recent times, The Armenian population are not necessary representing itself in the best manner, but yes some have made positive contributions. One important one that i can think of is the MRI machine. It was invented by an Armenian.

@tedmccarron You just never know. That may happen. I think you're right. They were among the first to introduce the Christian orthodox religion. Then again, I'm no expert of this topic. It's good to see that my people have made some contributions that have been quite useful but have gone so unnoticed. Thanks for the inquiry.

@asatourianR Wow! I thought that piano looked mighty fancy! Maybe some day she'll play on Scott Joplin's and Jerry Lee Lewis's pianos too. I met some Armenians a few years ago in Stone Mountain, Georgia. They told me that Armenians were among the first Christians in the world. They have a mighty impressive history.

@tedmccarron thanks for the feedback. That piano belonged to Liberace. it was all covered in Rhine stones. Not sure if i spelled that correctly. So that piano was the last one he played on in New York i believe at Radio City Music Hall. So we visited his Museum and happened to talk to the lady who told us select few are allowed to play on that piano who visit the museum and the requirement is to be formally trained and must sign a waiver in case of a damage. Asatourian is an Armenian last name.

@asatourianR Well your wife is one very talented pianist. I started taking lessons but fell away from it. I need to get back to it. If you don't mind my curiousity, what nationality does the name Asatourian come from?
-
@tedmccarron actually that was my wife playing. asatourian is my last name.

@asatourianR Sometimes the soft sweet songs mean so much. Was that you playing piano in your uploads? If so you were very good! Just out of curiousity, what does asatourian mean?
