An excerpt from a talk I filmed earlier this year at Blue Stockings books in New York City. In this excerpt Daniel Gross talks about the concept of Solidarity Unionism. If you'd like to see the entire talk, check out the following link:

  • I couldn't agree more with you on this, sadly you are very right. Nonetheless they are employed and paid as some sort of mercenaries but in the process are corrupted by power and money. Nice freaking world we live in isn't it?

  • Actually ... the problem w/union bureaucrats is not that they're in combat w/the bosses; the problem is that they're not.

  • Another interesting analogy for these Union bureaucrats could be "Mercenaries" because they are paid a fee to engage in protection and combat against the employer. I say combat because we rarely see friendly cooperation and dialogue...hahaha

  • Sounds good. Corrupt unions are worse than useless.

  • Great video! 5 stars and faved.
