One Step Beyond - The Sorcerer - (1/3)

A German Army Officer, played by Christopher Lee, is tormented by his belief that he committed a murder. To his dismay, a military court will not convict him. The basis for the court's decision is that it would have been physically impossible for him to have committed the murder. The officer insists that he is guilty and should be punished.

Then his meeting with a simple farmer who possesses paranormal abilities is recounted. The officer scorns this lowly peasant and calls him a fake. What mystery does the sorcerer solve for the officer?

I watched this show on channel 9 during the 80s. Hadn't heard of the show before then but I liked it. I don't know if I believe every episode is really true like this one I don't believe. But who knows what the mind may make a person believe in certain circumstances, you may imagine anything.

This show aired in the late '50's--early '60's did it not Michael? I remember being more stimulated by, and my imagination grew more intensely from watching this show--more than The Twilight Zone.

The music at the end with the use of the Theramin (spooky musical instrument) unknowingly enhanced it for me as well.
