The bands performance of their song from the album "Gorilla" in the Beatles film Magical Mystery Tour, and it's also probably where the recent band got their name from. Also features a stripper but all the naughty bits are censored, and she's wearing so many layers of under wear it's quite comical now.

  • I wonder if all the girls in the early 60's when The Beatles first became famous could imagine The Beatles enjoying a show like this. ;)

  • was it me or did John happily shout "TITS!" after viewing the performance

  • My favorite band is Death Cab For Cutie.. Uhm. Awkward.

  • TITS!

  • @debjorgo - If it's "curves can kill", that kind of makes the cab seem less at fault. The cab driver is distracted by Cutie and loses control in the curves, or,,, more likely, he gets distracted by Cuties curves.

I don't think there is a Christine element here.

  • @TackyRackyComixNEO-Whoa, you're right. It is "curves can kill". I have to rethink what the song's about.

  • Y'know, I've got to wonder if this was the first televised striptease.

  • @LanakilaIesu He probably snuck a doobie before they filmed this scene.

  • @debjorgo It's kind of funny, for some reason I always thought it was "curves can kill."

'Course, maybe the "distraction" during the performance in this may have thrown me off there...

  • @dakersting Good Lordy me you're right! I just checked and never in all my many years noticed! Thanks!

  • @dakersting in live performances John would sometimes replace words when the screaming was so loud they couldnt be heard. he sang " i want to hold your gland" a line which made it into the film" I want to hold your hand" by robert zemeckis

  • @andy86i good call andy - you're probably right. Are you aware that John and Paul saw fit to sing "tit-tit-tit-tit" as a background vocal in the Rubber Soul song "A Girl"? John said, much later, that they put that in just to see if anyone was listening. (Well my high-school friends and I were certainly listening - knew every note and nuance of that song and all the good Beatles songs - but it never occurred to us that they might be saying THAT. We just innocently thought "dit-dit-dit-dit".
