Interesting review. I'm looking at purchasing a base impreza soon, and this review covered pretty much everything i wanted and more. Keep up the good work!

It is not a disadvantage to have a 4 speed automatic over a 5 speed in this case. Most v6's, v8's and in this case high performance 4 cylinders have enough torque to not be that fussy as to which gear they are in but i suppose u cant go as fast with a 4 speed.
