  • How many of these competencies can be taught and how many are based on experience? Also, is it realistic to try to teach the relationship between translation briefs and translation decisions in the classroom, when you can't really add in the other important variables: time, pay, previous relationship with the client, etc? Lastly, how reliable can TAPs be since they seem to always involve artificial, lab-based work? Are behaviours the same in the lab and the "real-world?"
