@djmrsinister (cont.) I want to export the videos as an mp4 file as clear as possible but smaller than 200MB for a 4 minute video

you say we can raise the Data Rate if we want (2000 kbits/sec optimized for download) My question: The Higher the Data Rate the better quality? (i know it will increase the file size) im not uploading my videos to youtube. i want to burn onto a DVD and be as clear as possible. Can you give me some advice please?

What kind of video are you recording? A screencast?
My output file seems to show loss in quality after the export to mp4. I can export to .mov with apple intermediate codec and it comes out as a .mov file. The quality is superb, but if I export that .mov to mp4 with those settings, quality still downgrades. Any idea?

YouTube can accept files in the .mov file format. You may even be using the MP4 codec with the MOV file extension without knowing it. Your best bet is to try it, and see what works. Let me know if you have any luck!

my vid doesn't display anything is this a good sign for the uploading process. I used your EXACT specifications, literally. I made sure my uploading was EXACTLY like yours

Yes, it generally is.
Looks like you got it working-did you find out the problem?
