Western Civilization and Protestants

Actually earlt Protestants - as historians know - removed rights from women that had already existed in the Middle Ages. Although that situation changed over time, today, Protestantism has victimzed women by pushing the culture of death.
-
Bottom line - Protestantism says it is okay to change the word of God and the instructions of God. One can be a good Protestant and support abortion - many do - because one can just find a Protestant community which DOES support abortion.
This is the issue under discussion - you want to turn this into a comparison between bad Catholics and conservative Evangelicals. That is not what this is about, is disingenous, and is not going to happen.

@RealCatholicTV I agree! God bless!

@rcporras It always throws me - I'll go to one Mass and someone will go to another and we'll be talking and we'r all like "Wha?"
In truth, a harmonization of the calendars would be a great blessing as it might foster a greater unity between what are (in some cases) becoming split camps.

@RealCatholicTV I didnt know about that (the Tridentine rite), I was like "Oh my, am I going to a non-catholic church?" I live in Moose jaw, and we only have a couple of RC Church here so i thought i was going to the wrong church (Non-RCC's)! LOL
-
@rcporras Yep, in the Novus Ordo readings. I was at the Tridentine rite, which has different readings. But the Church bulletin column talked about both. Really, Matt 16 is very much about the foundation of civilization too; the Church is what BROUGHT civilization to the barbarian world; by bringing Christ to the Empire and then taking that civilized Empire to the world.

@RealCatholicTV Oh wait i was on a different video of yours! lol! i was watching THE ROCK video! Im so sorry i wasnt paying attention. The Gospel today (Sunday Central Time) is Matthew Chapter 16. The Authority verse. was it not?

@rcporras You threw me for a second there - the Gospel at the Tridentine Mass was the Pharisee & Tax Collector. Of course, the Novus Ordo one is the wonderful reading about the establishment of the Church on Peter.
-
@RealCatholicTV I hope everything's doing good there in Madrid! This is the gospel for today by the way. God bless!

@rcporras Yes; although if you can get the cheaper edition with the typesetting errors it is good too :)
A smart, well educated and faithful Catholic is hard to FIND!

@DelBluenose80 But when you DO find such a person, it is wonderful - because only the Catholic Church has the fullness of truth. AND such people covert Protestants etc. from their errors.
