Cover of "In Search Of Souls" by Illdisposed played on a Schecter C-7 Blackjack ATX

This is a cover of the song "In Search of Souls" by Illdisposed from their album "1-800 Vindication". It is one of my favorite songs from that album and by the band in general. If you like that kind of metal and do not have the album you should definitely get it!

The song was played on a Schecter C-7 Blackjack ATX seven string guitar tuned in standard B tuning. The guitar signal went into a POD X3 Live and from there straight to the sound card via SPDIF. The sound was recorded using the free DAW software "Ardour" running under Ubuntu Studio. The channels are panned hard, i.e., the left channel only contains my guitar sound whereas the right channel contains the original song.
The video was recorded with a FujiFilm F30 and then later synchronized to the recorded sound. It was edited with "Kdenlive". The intro and outro images were created with the "GIMP" image software.

Argh! I was JUST about to buy one of these! Then I saw it was on order, next delivery in 3 months. I can't find one anywhere! (In Germany that is) Hell!

@Fritters87 Yes, unfortunately Schecters are not that easy to get in Germany. I bought mine at "PPC Music" in Hannover which to my knowledge is the main distributor here. Right now they still seem to have the white version of the guitar though. However, I don't know if you are playing in a death metal band or something like that. In that case I guess the white version would be a total no-go and you could as well buy a pink guitar. ;)

@DooMSanniN Thanks for the nice compliment from the other end of the world. :) When I moved into my new apartment more than two years ago the rooms were all completely naked and I had/wanted to buy almost everything from scratch. Therefore I had total control over everything (floor, colors of the walls, furniture) and I guess this is the reason why things looks kind of nice and harmonious. :) Greetings to Chile...

@gobas3 Sorry, I have no tabs. I have figured the song out by ear. But perhaps I will write tabs for it on some of the next days. I have seen that there are not tabs for it on the net, so it might be worth it, especially for such a great song.

@leetarist I actually had that exact idea - I saw a pink 'Hello Kitty' Squire Strat and I thought it'd be awesome to do a metal gig with it. I told a friend this idea, he then moved to California to study bass and bought one as his guitar for his metal band over there!
