Manuel Araujo Peres, "Maneca ARAUJO", born in Belo Horizonte in 1975, began his interest in painting at the age of seven. Influenced by his father, he watched the paintings and sketches, they begin to imitate him. At age 12, visited an exhibition and see the magic of colors on screen is even more fascinated with the art.

To learn the technique of painting on canvas, began to paint often, erasing screens and doing it all over again. Then, from 1988, began to seek the improvement of technical and further clarification to your questions. He began to study painting in more depth by visiting artists' studios, and museums and exhibitions. With this gained more information and meeting new techniques of painting. He built his knowledge, so, so self-taught.

It went through many styles of painting, having been identified with Surrealism more because of the possibility of expressing feelings and unconscious contents.
