A demonstration on harnessing the power of water to make relatively free electricity .672 Kwh a day in this case. Check out: http://www.allenergies.net/hydro/background.html for more info. In this video we show a micro hydro setup in action.

  • If you use a better motor will you get more Watt output?

  • We can get 5-10 more watts with a better generator and about 4 more watts with a good nozzle.

  • how much watr do you need to runa home and then some? and how do you create the pressure? do you dam off a stream all the way or just part of it? i seen on here made from a washing machine that puts out continuous 900 watts! so waht kind of water source would you need for tha, and how do you tell how musch energy can be generated by a water source? can you tell by looking at? what if you want to buy propeety to set up a micro hydro? what should you look for?

  • много говорят и мало показывают.

  • @fenteng43 0.672Kwh a day..... about one day for 55 Ah battery.

  • how many hours will it take to charge that car battery??

  • Since you are using a car battery anyway, would an alternator be more efficient than the treadmill motor?

  • Just checked out part 1, looks like you might have a practical power output of 145 watts! That is certainly nothing to scoff at, maybe even enough to run an efficient home on if the big energy hogs used another system (heaters, cooking, dryer)

  • 3: Theoretical power would be Head (meters) x Flow (litres/s) x 9.81. Practical power would be on the order of 80% the theoretical power. If you were to post a gallon/minute reading I could help you optimize your system.

  • I might offer some suggestions:

1: If you are charging a battery that is already full then you will not be able to pump more amps in it. You may be able to make more power then your meter is showing.

2: If you were to put the turbine on the ground or as low as possible you could gain a few more watts.

  • Great vids man I'm a fellow Catskill region resident... I'm now Inspired more then ever! I have always thought hydro was the best local/personal means of electric...Now only if we all could harvest it!! we wouldn't have to depend on oil, coal, or nuclear power electric
