excellent! I'm a sikh and throughout my childhood we were brought up with the qawwali's of this great man, how listening to this has taken me back to those years (1980's) Sad there is no one like him now to touch this style of music, it lifts boundarys of all classes and religions, brilliant!

@Bahram1992 But if he continued to live in Afghanistan, how would he become famous as compared to him living in Pakistan?
-
Amazing.. I was just a kid when this man died. I was only aware of his pop songs like "Afreen" . This is brilliant. Being an indian, I would say Pakistan is worth friendship just for this alone..
I'm an Indian atheist who does not understand a word of Urdu. I guess its true that a genius belongs to the world, transcending boundaries that hold back lesser mortals.

mast nazron se Allah bachaaye, maah-jamaalon se Allah bachaaye
har balaa sar pe aa jaaye lekin, husn-vaalon se Allah bachaaye
O God save us from the intoxicated glances! O God save us from the moon-faced ones!
Let any affliction come upon us [but] God save us from the pretty ones.
