How petty to take to music off for copyright reasons. Nice job and thanks, Jen.

Considering the title of this video, that it's her "graduation" I'm assuming this is one of her very first performances after taking some classes. Cut the girl some slack, it take alot of guts to get up on stage. Skill will come with time and practice.

You should have used the peggy lee version....it has a better tempo ad feels more...right for this kind of burlesque :) but not bad at all ^_^

Performance comes from choreography, costume, skill, visual beauty and attitude. The one that sets a performer apart is attitude where the rest can be bought and sold. This is good on all fronts and great on attitude. Joyful to watch. Thanks.

@godessceline I wasn't defending this performer, I agree with you. I was merely saying it CAN be done fast. I think it takes an accomplished performer though. My biggest miff was the lack of sexy clothing here. A
Another thing is, like with anything in front of a crowd, you need to be a performer at heart. A lot of these bored housewives are making a mockery of burlesque in my opinion, especially since they don't get it's an art.

@babyjane85388 Also, this song is sensual, sultry and sexy; probably one of the most seductive ones ever written. When I listen to it, I see slow, teasing movements, lingering, hypnotic eyes, flirtation, nighttime...fever. Rushed and fast movements doesn't match that, for me.

@babyjane85388 True, but Dita exercises each movement to perfection. Her acts may be short, but they don't FEEL that way, and that is the difference here. Watching this performance, I just felt stressed and like there was barely any time to focus on a movement before she moved on to the next one.

1:06! that was good! hahaha keep it up :)

somebody should kill that howler!

@godessceline I don't know, it depends on the performer. Dita Von Teese has a lot of really short acts. My problem was that the undergarments came off as plain, run of the mill, Walmart stuff. Burlesque, or any stripping at all, should be about fantasy, not the girl next door look. I mean there wasn't even a corset or garter belt.
I'm not a performer myself so maybe I don't have the right to speak here but it feels a bit...rushed. I know the song has abit of tempo to it but if you move that quickly you lose that teasing that's so important. It would feel flirtier if you moved more slowly, really making each moment last.
