FUNdraising Event For Children With Congenital Heart Disease

Rotary Club Braşov Citadel organized its annual „Cursa Trasnitilor event summer edition which took place June 28, 2008 in the heart of Brasov.
It was a downhill race of self-made vehicles without an engine, vehicles of unprecedented creativity and a fun level of craziness. Each team consisted of at least two persons, except the youngest participants (starting with two and a half years old!) - they raced down with their little cars or tricycles. Starting line was Baza Sportivă Agrement (a little road under theTâmpa), the finish line being the Baza de Tenis Olimpia.
Prizes went to the craziest vehicel, the fastest, the team with the best showmanship and the jurys favorite team.

Every year, the awareness for Rotary Club Braşov Citadels „Cursa trasnitilor event grows as it has introduced a new type of fundraising: FUNdraising, showing that helping others can actually be a fun thing to do. Also the participating jurors help promote these events. They have consisted of a famous Romanian rally driver, the vice mayor of Brasov, members of the press, etc.
