Actually since you made this post, Calvin rode her in the Woodward and there were 21 hits counted from his whip. He got her in the Haskell too even when she was in front. Jockey Tony Black suspected the connections were concerned that she was getting so used to coasting to the wire that she wouldn't remember that sometimes you don't get to gear down at the end because horses are still coming. If she's confused in this race, it's not surprising as she's pretty new to it all at the time.

Brian Hernandez starts whipping RA way too early. I think she was confused!! She evidently hates the whip and actually does not speed up very much. I think she is very distracted by the whip!!! If you notice the races with Calvin Borel as her jockey, she fares better, because she does not get horse-whipped at all!!!
