@BigdogH201 What Jalen tries to point out is that Duke recruits a certain type of character and he isnt that type of person. He may feel some kind of hostility but I believe Duke did what was best for their school & for the students coming in & it had nothing to do with race but character. Jalen should not have used "Uncle Tom" as that brings race into the argument. Grant Hill is a role model for all inner city youths and thats based on his character, not his race.

They jus go for people who can play good ball and that they don't have to worry about sellin drugs..which is what innercity kids did at that time..he jus used that uncle tom stuff out of anger

@Shermstyle23 I'm from Norfolk Va. and Grant Hill is from Reston Va. that is not the inner city. How exactly is he a role model for inner city youth? Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony are role models for inner city kids because those kids can relate to them. When I was coming up I couldn't relate to someone whose father was a baller in the NFL (Calvin Hill).

@keithcutt i think the point c broussard and alot of people are trying to make, is y the fact that blacks go out and try to better themselves there considered a sellout, im 24. & at 17 i never would have thought by someone going out and wanting to recieve a higher education or go to private school is a sell out we have to get away of this type of thinking, i'm glad jalen woke up and realised the his way of thinking was wrong, however there are so many who think like him still and wil continue
