Deadlifting to katie perry, as you do

Never bounce the bar off the ground, otherwise it is not a "Deadlift" anymore. You are supposed to lift dead weight off the ground so if you bounce it you are creating acceleration (hence Newton's Law of equal and opposite reaction). Hope this helps.

First, the weight is way to heavy for your core to handle. Your core has a timing/sequence problem. Your Tranverse Abdominus and other core muscles are basically not activating, which is one reason your body is not moving up as one. The dead lift should be one fluid movement. The butt stays down in starting position with the chest and eyes forward. Your back should be straight and at a 45 degree angle. Retract your scapula and lift the bar with the lower and upper body all at once as a unit.

START with the legs, and end with the back..
Dont use the back in the beginning.
