This is a pretty boring video... it's only to show a friend really.

  • Marvellous! I cannot tell you how great it is to hear this . I have been trying to identify this soong for some time ..As your video illustrates, they are difficult to see as they sing deep within a bush or tree and anyway, they are a dark colour so not easy to identify... well done mate! ]:o)

  • Brilliant! I'm glad you got an ID out of this! Thanks for the comment. As it happens, it turned out to be quite a good spring for me with Blackcap sightings actually... although I struggled to find a confirmed sighting of the similar sounding (and hard to see) Garden Warbler... maybe next year!

  • As well as the superb song, I like the mix of visuals: mortality + springtime resurrection!

  • Thanks nnccnn. I have to admit it wasn't a deliberate choice of setting... but I like the image now that you've mentioned it!

  • :o))

Hard day at the office again I see!

  • Watching videos, filming videos... it's all the same! ;-) Perhaps you can hear the other call in the background going "P45! P45!"
